When arrested do not make any statements to the police verbally and written

When you are arrested or are given a summons to appear in court, you should not make any statements to the police or sign any statements . Often times defendants who get in trouble with the law often make this mistake. Anything that you say to the police can be written down and will be used against you. It is best not to make any statements nor sign any documents without consulting your attorney first.
